During her career as a registered nurse, Pam Riley-Valesh discovered amazing modalities to support health and wellness.
Pam will be sharing some of them with guests at J DeCarlo Salon and Spa.
Looking for relaxation? Reiki and Reflexology might help. Questions about essential oils/aromatherapy? Pam is a certified aromatherapist. What is a UZIT session? Or a Zyto scan? And how can they help you?
Reflexology is done most often on the feet and hands, but facial reflexology includes the ears, too. Every part of the body is said to correspond to a specific organ or body part. Areas of need are felt in the reflexologist’s hands. Relaxation and increased circulation are benefits of reflexology. Some have said that afterward, the relaxation one feels is like having a full body massage.
Reiki originated in Japan in the 1800’s and is in ancient form of energy work used to help the body‘s natural healing mechanisms. Placing the hands on or over various parts of the body, with a light touch or just hovering the hands, helps a person’s life force energy. Stress reduction and relaxation, as well as feelings of peace and wellbeing are often benefits of receiving Reiki.
Urban Zen Integrative Therapy, or UZIT, combines Reiki, mindful movements, essential oils, restorative yoga poses, breath awareness, and a body awareness meditation (BAM). A variety of these may help to relieve symptoms of Pain, Anxiety, Nausea, Insomnia, and Constipation (PANIC) plus Exhaustion (E). The basis of a session is tailored to how a guest feels on that particular day.
Pam is a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist and has found that Essential Oils can support health and wellness in so many ways. Combining the use of essential oils with any of these modalities is possible and adds extra benefits to a session.
Other services that can be included or stand alone are:
Zyto Scans to determine which services and products would benefit you most
Classes to be scheduled include Mindfulness, Stress Management, Ditch
and Switch, CBD 101-what everyone needs to know, and much more.
Pam is passionate about helping people find ways to enhance their own health and wellness. She is also experienced with end of life care and helping families find support as they navigate the elder care puzzle
Hope to see you for a session or class soon!!
